On the production side, OEMs have different outbound models , such as the CBU model, SKD model, DKD model and CKD model. The differences between these models are significant. The main challenge is that the software distribution system must adapt to various business models.
The vehicles exported overseas are characterized by a wide variety, numerous batches, and complex configurations. The challenge lies in how to support the organization of production and software flashing according to batches overseas.
From the perspective of software itself, the software version iterates rapidly, which is different from hardware. The main challenge is to distribute the correct software versions to the overseas market.
Regulatory requirements are quite different between different countries and regions. For example, the European Union, Southeast Asia and South Africa have all defined their own regulatory terms. The target is to meet the local legal requirements of the export market and ensure data security.
After the data is distributed overseas, the main target is to support overseas operations, including overseas factory construction, after-sales service and OTA campaigns.
We aim to create a global software distribution network for accurate and rapid software distribution from central to overseas sites.
Through the Multi-Site Vehicle & Software Distribution Strategy, we can achieve global software information distribution, ensure data synchronization and consistency across global sites. It can also cover various business models (CBU, CKD, SKD, DKD, etc.), meeting the customized needs of different regions and markets.
System Platform is used for overseas software distribution and operation management, addressing the current pain points where domestic IT systems and architectures cannot support overseas business.
High Integration and Collaboration: Integrate VSP system with other systems such as MES, ECOS, OTA to achieve collaborative management throughout the entire process, from software development to production, after-sales, and OTA updates. This will help enhance the efficiency of software distribution and reduce operational costs.
Data Security and Compliance: we use advanced data encryption techniques and security protocols to ensure data security during the software distribution process. At the same time, our product can adhere to the regulatory requirements worldwide.
Global Coverage: By establishing multiple regional sites worldwide, we achieve global coverage for software distribution. Efficient data synchronization mechanisms are employed by all the sites to ensure that users around the globe can promptly access the latest software version.
Flexibility and Scalability: The system architecture is designed to be flexible, allowing for the rapid expansion of new sites and features according to business needs. Additionally, it supports various business models to meet the personalized demands of different regions and markets.
Based on the VSP platform, we will establish a localized operational mechanism which provides strong support for local factories and after-sales service teams. For instance, our establishment of sites in the EU region can directly serve local factory production, promote efficient OTA operations, and ensure that after-sales service is professional.
We support production electrical inspection for both major full-vehicle versions and hybrid versions.
Through VSP system, we can synchronize software components, BOM structures, configuration word information and software files to MES system. The EOL software, configuration word, hardware and software can be flashed at the electrical inspection workstation. Then the EOL electrical inspection results will be sent back to the vehicle's profile within the VSP system.
After-sales Support: You can select a repair scenario and submit your request for after-sales service by connecting a diagnostic tool to the VSP platform. The VSP platform will provide available software versions based on the vehicle profile and request for software flashing.
OTA Support: You can create an OTA upgrade campaign, test and release it. Vehicles will download and install the software update package based on the received upgrade instructions, and simultaneously report the upgrade results back to the VSP platform.
Vehicle profile data comes from production line-off archives, after-sales archives, and OTA upgrade logs. Vehicle file management plays a significant role in the following three aspects:
1、It can help track the changes of the software and hardware throughout the entire lifecycle of the vehicle.
2、It can provide vehicle information for OTA operation and after-sales service.
3、It's compliant with the regulatory requirements for RxSWIN in vehicle profiles.
